What's my Account Number?

As of May 1, 2022 your account number has changed from 9 digits to 8 digits

  • Example 1:  010-123456  is now  10123456
  • Example 2:  020-123456  is now  20123456
How often will I be billed?

You will receive a monthly billing statement 10 days prior to your due date.

What are my different payment options?

Direct Debit, Online, Mail, In Person, Pay by Phone, Western Union or MoneyGram.

    • Online using the Customer Portal
    • Pay by phone using our automated system: Call (703) 857-2125 to authorize a payment from your: Checking Account OR Debit Card
    • In Person: 15315 Magnolia Blvd Ste 128, Sherman Oaks, CA 91403
    • Cash at any 7-Eleven using PayNearMe. Click here to join. Once signed up, it will text or email you a barcode. Take it to any 7-Eleven and tell them you want to load money on to that account.
    • Mail – Send a check payable to:

I want to pay off my contract. How do I find out the payoff amount?

Please request a payoff by providing your name and account number which you can send via e-mail to customerservice@modernfinance.com. We will respond to you within 1 hour.

Do I have to purchase insurance for my car? What type? How soon?

Yes, you must have auto insurance. We require that you provide comprehensive and collision coverage within 10 days from the date of your vehicle purchase.

The Insurance coverage must be no higher than $500 deductible, the registered owner(s) and all drivers must be covered on the policy.
Please make sure Modern Finance Company is listed as the loss payee.

If you fail to insure your vehicle, Modern Finance Company may order limited physical damage coverage to protect our interest in the vehicle. The policy will be effective as of the original date of your contract.

You may fax proof of insurance to our insurance department at (818) 245-1693.
